Great for preschoolers

I read this book today at Kids Camp, to kids ages 3-6. They loved it! It is about a bird named Spike who does not like his nest; he is grumpy because he thinks his nest is boring. He tries other nests, but none work - the owls nest is too loud, the chicken wants him to sit on her eggs, the field mice are too crowded, and the frog's lily pad is too cold! He ends up back in his own nest, but happy with a home that is warm and cozy and no longer grumpy about it! This tied in well with our discussion of birds and nests.
