Spies lie & Spies Die is a compilation of mystery and adventure short stories ending with the novella titled 'Spies Lie & Spies Die.' The first story is 'Midnight in New Orleans' which is about a couple who are visiting New Orleans during their spring break and attend a s?ance where a man is murdered. The second story is titled 'A Christmas Season in Hell.' This story is about a college professor who is the last in the building because he is late starting his two week Christmas break when suddenly his desk falls through the floor and he finds himself trapped in a secret room staring at a dead man. Next 'My Life as a Super Spy' is a light hearted tale about a couple of guys who have an adventure as the expense of a beautiful woman, but their little game spins out of control because nothing in the spy world is what it seems. '421 Sierra Glen Drive' is about Gloria Crawford and her daughter, Wanda, who find a naked woman's corpse in a house listed for sale. 'The Gaslight Gallery' is a Gloria Crawford murder mystery involving an art gallery in Ruidoso, New Mexico. In 'A Once in a Lifetime Deal' Helen Baxter and her son Blair are dragged into a con game and become the targets for two dimwitted but ruthless thugs. 'Aunt Gussie's got a Gun' is a humorous adventure story about an old lady with dementia who leads her nephew and the police on a merry chase. 'Morning Fog' is a story about a man who thinks he has nothing to live for until he picks up a hitchhiker who intends to kill him and take his precious sports car. That takes us down to Reckoning Day--a story about a disgruntled FBI agent who is plotting revenge against his partner. Leland McElroy goes about getting his revenge in a deceptive way. He manipulates a notorious crime lord into unconsciously setting the trap. The problem is that his partner has taught him all his tricks. Will he fall for Leland's insidious plan? Will reckoning day be what Leland is expecting?
