I am using the Spectrum books to homeschool my 1st and 4th graders. They seem to be working very well for us. I do think that this book is too easy for 1st grade, though. It seems to be geared more towards Kindergarten.

My daughter loves these books

In China, I am teaching my Chinese-American daughter, age 6, to read and write English. These books work and my girl likes working on them. I can see she feels a sense of accomplishment.

Good for the price

The first part of the book is entirely useless if your child has had any Kindergarten work before. But the rest is fairly useful and certainly a good deal for the price.
