Great Start

This workbook has engaging pictures. My three year old son enjoyed working through it. He is not much for coloring so the typical learn the colors pages at the beginning of the workbook left him a bit bored, but the rest of the book he found exciting. You will need a pink, gray and, depending on how you want to complete it, white crayon. There is no writing of numbers or letters needed so it worked well as his first learning work book. Overall a great purchase for practicing basic preschool concepts. On a lighter note, I'm always amused when they include an answer key at the back.

Familiar Characters Feel Like Friends

My 3 year-old daughter loves her "Little Critter workbook!" The first page of the book has all of the characters, along with their names, which she learned immediately. Then, throughout the book, she sees the same characters, and is more interested in completing the 'work' on each page. The content is very basic, (colors, shapes, etc.,) but I feel like she is learning important lessons in focusing on one page at a time, following the directions, and in completing an entire page before moving on. We do a couple of pages each day, and she always looks forward to it. I would definitely recommend this book for young preschoolers.

Excellent Tool

My son is home for the summer from preschool. I've used this book for him and I find it to be an excellent book. What is good is that he's already leanred the majority of this stuff while in preschool. He is doing this book as a refresher and I've purchased more books from Spectrum because I like the layout of the book. I highly recommend this book to all parents.
