Cozy in bite sized form!

This was the perfect little bite sized audiobook to listen to in an afternoon! And despite how short it was, it felt very complete, though I am definitely going to dive into the other books to see more of Soldark and what it has that draws people to it who find that this city is where they can see their dreams come true. Mae Wright, gotta admire her positive outlook in life, especially in the face of all the hardships she experiences when she arrives in Soldark. And I know it was used to move the story along, but as a dog owner myself, it really is wise to keep your dog on a leash during travel and when entering a new place. That did get me a bit frustrated when he kept running off at the most inconvenient of times, even if it lead to her meeting with Des and opened up a whole new option for Mae. If you want a quick cozy tale with low stakes, a slow burn romance, and new friends, and finding a place where you can shine, then this audiobook will fit the bill. It was very well done and the narrator, Deborah Balm, did a wonderful job in bringing Mae and her tale to life. I am really glad I got the chance to listen to this and fall in love with the city of Soldark!
