Grisly and gripping! Not for the faint of heart.

Some of the facts of this story may seem nauseatingly similar to the infamous Manson murders some 30 years prior. 28-year-old Debra, 10-year-old Samantha and 7-year-old Joshua, all members of the Evans family, were all found dead on the early morning of Friday November 17 1995. Debra's near-birth fetus was discovered missing from her womb. A generous and friendly woman, Evans apparently had no idea she was merely the target of a plot hatched by a SADISTIC trio of "friends" to steal a newborn baby, at all cost. A family portrait taken in happier times before the attacks shows Evans surrounded by her children. Smiling faces show no signs of the horror that was to come. Crime scene photos show Evan's home awash with blood and give devastating hints of the unbelievable anguish this loving mother and her innocent children suffered before they died. From the night of the murders to aftermath of the crimes the late Bill G. Cox does a stunning job of tying all the facts together.

One of the best true crime books I've read

This was definately the 2nd best true crime book I've read (1st was Damaged Goods) and I've read at least 50 or 60. This author did an EXCELLENT job. I read this book in less than 1 day. It was very disturbing to know how the mother and her 3 children were killed and the torture they put little Joshua through but I was very, VERY happy that the 3 ANIMALS were found guilty, but NO punishment could ever be good enough for the crimes they committed. I'm very sad that the author Bill Cox died after writing this book. I was definately looking forward to his next true crime book. He didn't write chapters after chapters about the lawyers, police officers and defendants whole entire family. He gave brief descriptions about everyone. Enough to give you an idea what kind of life they had and not too much to bore you! EXCELLENT JOB MR. COX. REST IN PEACE

Excellent, too bad the last by the author

This was an EXCELLENT book. I was apprehensive at first about reading about such a horrible, gory crime, but he did a good job researching it and writing it. Unfortunately, he died before it was printed, so we won't have anymore by Mr. Cox.

RIVETING

I like this book, i am halfway done and it has been read in only a month, short time. This book is a darn good one. This is a must read for all true crime readers. You won't be able to put it down
