This book really touched me , but not like he touched me last year on new years eve after we had too many wine coolers. With his sweaty armpits and his booming voice, this story comes to life right before your own eyes. I could only wish I spent those wondorous days with Bill in the forest looking at the beauty of nature.
A soulful glimpse at the outdoors

Bill Danielson's Speaking of Nature has the soul of Burroughs and the clarity Whitman. He clearly loves his subject, and through personal stories and eyewitness accounts is able to share that passion. Danielson writes clearly and simply, yet in his capable hands the reader is assured of an informational journey through the forests, swamps and fields of New England. It's a joyful book with wonderful glossy photos. I highly recommend it, even for the tentative nature lover.
