This is a collection of recipes of dishes that had special meaning for the students enrolled in an Advanced ESOL course during the Spring 2013 cycle at the Aguilar Adult Learning Center, a part of the New York Public Library. The students prepared the recipes at home, presented the details of the dish (why they chose it, their memories of eating it...), reviewed the details of the preparation, step by step, and fielded questions from their classmates. At the end of the class, they presented the dish and shared it with all their classmates. Yum Yum! The project was an offshoot of the 'food theme' during the 10 week spring cycle in the ESOL program.
