Essential!

Every verb, every conjugation. Learning a new language is learning the verbs. You need the vocabulary, certainly. But if you know the word tienda (store) but don't know how to say I went to the store yesterday or I'm shopping in that store tomorrow... or next week... or last year... or I should be shopping in that store instead of the one I shopped in a week ago... These are all different tenses of a verb - if you don't know those, you really can't communicate. This book is hands down the best resource for us. We moved to Costa Rica 6 months ago and use this book almost every day. It's cheap, it's small - it should be offered new. Ours is well-worn, can't give it up!
