Great Book

Finally a book that gives well deserved credit to the Spanish roots of the US in particular and the whole continent in general. A very well documented book that clearly refutes the old mith of explorers taking advantage of the local indians. It tells history as it really was, a clash of cultures in which the Spaniards and the Catholic religion confronted the situation in a manner much more civilized than any other nation at the time.
