Albert Speer gives a day-to-day account of life in Spandau. He also covers other prisoners of interest. The diaries are organized day by day, so you soon feel as if you are there. You soon feel that his memories are yours and wonder what you would have done. Sure, you know now, but wait until you read this book. The hard copy includes 32 pages of exclusive photos. The paperback is still worth the purchase. It is weird to think about what you or a relative was doing on the same day. Albert got out just one month before I went into the military. Even his epilogue is impressive.
