If you're driving in Spain, this is the book

My husband and I lived in Spain for two years and used this book on our vacations. I only wish we'd discovered it when we first arrived and had been able to do all 20 routes in the book! Petersen gives the most precise directions I have ever run across and points out every worthwhile thing along the way while staying clear of the big cities and the regular tourist stuff. You learn quickly not to miss anything he recommends you see. You'll stay off the beaten track and if you are prepared for some less-than-perfect driving conditions here and there, you will say thank you a thousand times as we did. Pure enjoyment.
