Due to a slight mishap, the moon is dissin-orbited. Now journeying through space/time, the inhabitants of Moonbase 1 will have to cope with each other and possibly a few alien environments.
I was looking at 16 DVDs of pure fun. As each DVD has approximately three episodes. (The format may be different as Blu-ray holds more and has five DVDs with five episodes. There are loose disks out there if you like to purchase piecemeal.
Each episode follows the standard Lost in Space formula of having a new challenge and summing up a conclusion based on the morals of the individuals and groups involved. Yet, we still have to either live where we are or hope to make it home.
In the process, there are many cameos and temporary actors that you will recognize from the 1970s. The technology is glitzy, but they have no idea what it is really like now. You will have to get used to bellbottoms and long hair.
Martin Landau and Barbara Bain married in 1957. This “Space: 1999” was made in 1975.
Do not expect anything spectacular from this series, but it could not have been better made, and if you start from the beginning, you will find yourself binging.
