A gem!

I've owned this cookbook for 12 years, and I still leaf through it's pages to make my favorite recipes! I love it. Put a record on, and cook some food.

GREAT for Starting vegan or vegetarians!

Awesome cook book and information on vegetarian/veganism with soul. This book is also great for those who have been vegheads for a while as well. The way they write it is light hearted and fun. I appreciate the the thought put into this booklet and I like how they compiled from many people and brought personality to it.

An American Classic...

I grew up with Soy not Oi!... well, sorta... It felt like growing up... I was in my twenties, living in Berkeley and Oakland, working at the legendary Little Planet Cafe Collective near the Ashby Bart... Soy not Oi! was such a part of our kitchen, both at work and at home... the philosophies, the art, the simple but great recipes... this was DIY 90's culture at it's best... when we all believed that making soymilk at home was an indispensable part of the global food revolution...
