Not your usual cookbook!

This cookbook is 24 years old. That alone makes it interesting. There are historical photos of places & people. There are photos of the food also. Recipes you have never heard of and that makes it an interesting read. All the Socials & Soirees have names. Each has a menu followed by the recipes. Example: Afternoon Wedding Collation. The recipes include: shrimp aspic, sesame chicken wings, country pate, ribbon sandwiches vegetables with blue cheese whip, sherried pecans, wedding punch, & spirited groom's cake. There's a Quilting Bee Luncheon, Victorian Tea, Debutante Social and many more.
