This work begins with a theoretical contextualization to present the concept of Soundscape and outline the relationships between radio and the city. The second part delves into the specifics of radio discourse and radio journalism, addressing the tools that professionals use to recreate reality through sound. The third and final part analyzes the object of study based on tables created for the radio segment of the research being developed at the UFRGS Porto Alegre Imaginada School of Communication. By studying the program based on sound strata, the representations of Porto Alegre presented by the journalistic discourse in question are established and a map of the city within the radio is drawn. At the end of this journey, it was possible to find the snapshot of the city that Chamada Geral proposes to make in its coverage and some of the functions that radio fulfills for citizens.
