A hand drum stolen from an Indian reservation by a young boy who's about to part with his best friend. Not understanding the meaning of the drum the boy Sabien hands over the drum to William telling him to never let anyone else know that he'd gifted it to him and that if ever he began to miss him to shake the drum and the spirits would let him know, once William and his family made it to their assigned destination on the military base, William while getting settled would do just that, and the spirits began to arise.
