Suspenseful drama with well researched Am. Indian details

I adored "Soul Catcher," by Colin Kersey: I couldn't put it down. I was attracted to the book due to my interest in NWC Indian shamanism, especially soul catchers (shamanic magical medical instruments: abalone-inlaid tubes of bear femur employed to catch errant souls lost during dream travels, or suck-out evil spirits). Kersey's American Indian details were well researched & a titillating framework for the story. The shamanic scenes were satisfyingly well crafted, and the idea of a lost Haida colony quite compelling. This book would make a great film! Amazing for a first novel.
Very entertaining

This was several years back, maybe 1996. The author was a native of Southern California and he was signing his new book at a local Target store. He was very nice and you really can't stop and talk to somebody and not feel obligated to purchase the book. I can't say I was disappointed, I thought it was very entertaining and enjoyable.

I just read this book for a report in my English class. I must say it is very interesting. Unlike any other book I have ever read this ties history, and fiction together making it very suspensful. Whenever the winds blow around my house, Kersey has me thinking. A must read go get copy NOW!!
Couldn't put it down!

I found that I couldn't put this book down once I got into it. The first few chapters are a bit slow, but once the characters and story are established, you will read for hours until you finish. The book was exciting, suspenseful and intriguing. I loved it!
