Dry bakes the country of Waltipo to dust. The cruel cold breath of the Sorrows blows dust and people alike in all directions. Among the people is young Millin, torn from all she knows. Alone and afraid, she is blown from kind care to cruel and to kind again, her fate swirling with the dust.
