She lies dormant. Inert. Incapacitated. Immobilized by the drug she was injected with. When they caught her. She feels the hard, smooth, lump lodged inside her mouth; the feeding tube inserted down her throat. She can't speak but she can still feel the needles, soft tubes, worming from her flesh. The radiant warmth spreads like a thermal blanket over her face and body. Coarse leathered straps restrain her elbows, wrists, thighs and ankles. Her tear trough moistens. Her eyelids feel sticky, stuck shut, as if glued to her undereye, impossible for her to open.
At least, she isn't hungry, or thirsty. She is full, satiated: her belly bloated, distended with food, her bladder about to burst.
She exists in a constant state of uncertainty. Wondering what will happen to her next?
