similar titles - same book

I enjoyed the book very much. It shows you how to get under the skin of the animal and understand it, even if you are not able to "talk" eith them. I just want to warn all Fitzpatrick readers be carful with buying. In my eager wish to buy everything from her, I bought two of the same books: one is paperback What the animals tell me, the other hardcover The Pet Psychic, What the animals tell me. I thought this was a different book, but it wasn't.

Sonya is Real!

While some people enjoy trying to discredit Sonya Fitzpatrick's TV show and books, I can easily say I know she is for real and really enjoyed this book! I am purchasing it for the second time as a gift to a fellow pet lover and have no doubts about whether the recipient will enjoy and appreciate the book. Sonya's weekly show on The Animal Planet is testimony to the reality of her gift and reading this book is like talking to her directly about some of her most interesting cases. I just wish she could meet and speak with my cats! Don't listen to the naysayers, you will definitely enjoy this book!

An amazing book by an amazing lady

After reading prior negative feedback on this book, I was compelled to write this review. Are Sonja's powers real? Judge for yourself. I went to her seminar in Long Beach, California, concerned because my 9yr old red-tail boa had not eaten in almost 10 months. She was losing weight and two vets had no idea or solution to the problem, but both were approaching concern about malnutrition. I was lucky enough to be one of the people invited on the stage at Sonja's seminar to ask my question. Sonja's tuned in and after a moment simply said "Have you been doing major renovations in your house where you have moved her from her usual room to another room - because she said she doesn't like that at all? And have you changed the color of the floor - she said it used to be blue and really wants to have that back if possible?". Indeed, 10 months prior, we completely renovated our kitchen and moved our boa and her enclosure into the living room. The original tile in the kitchen was blue/grey and is now cream. Even though the kitchen was finished, we never thought to move her enclosure back into the kitchen. I asked Sonja "if we move her back immediately, will she start eating again". The answer was a simple "yes".That night we arrived home, moved the enclosure back into the kitchen and fed our boa her usual jumbo rat. After refusing to eat every two weeks for 10 months, she ate it immediately. For you skeptics out there, that's a tough one to explain away... Regardless, our problem was solved - a problem two vets were unable to solve.

Fascinating read- but not for everyone

Sonja Fitzpatrick's book is likely to be a fascinating read for people who: 1.) Are animal lovers. 2.) Enjoy wathching "The Pet Psychic" show on Animal Planet. 3.) Are at least somewhat open to the legitimacy of interspeces communication. If reading about paranormal phenomena causes you to become insulted, disturbed, offended, or hypertensive, this book is not for you. I found this to be a book of interesting contrasts. There are mind-boggling tales of psychic surgery being done with the aid of colored laser lights and angel guides. There is also a lot of practical, no-nonsense, down-to-earth advice about being a responsible pet parent. If such advice were only followed, much animal and human suffering could be avoided.

She is the best animal communicator

She is the best animal communicator, because she loves the animals and they know it, and love her back. Wonderful warm and witty, the love in her soul shines through. Reminded me of Boomerang - A Miracle Trilogy, the tale of a remarkable Boston Terrier, who helped co-author the book, and channeled from the other side. Amazing true story, of how through love, all things are possible. Both books are a must read for animal lovers.
