A good summer reading if you like books about music

A really enjoyable book. The main character runs away from hislife in the shadow of his famous, rock star father and hitch hikes hisway to a small town in Maine. There, he becomes friends with a nice family and gets a job at their store, he also joins a band. He is really enjoying his life there but is continually reminded of his father whom his friends know nothing about. A fun book to read because it is so honest.

Avid and not-so-avid teen readers will enjoy this book

If you enjoy seeing an adolescent with their nose in a book, give them this one. This well written novel immediately captured the interest of my 14 year old son. His review from start to finish was "awesome". Appropriate adolescent themes such as self identity and alienation are explored in a thoughtful and mature fashion within a story that will be especially appealing to teens with an interest in rock music. If you're having trouble encouraging your adolescent to read, or would like to treat them to a good summertime read, I highly recommend this book.
