Young readers will find a lot of familiar faces and things in David L. Harrison's book of funny poems about school. Along the way they'll recognize the agony of tests, homework, cursive writing, and the mysteries of cafeteria food. Plus, there's Betsy Lewin's amusing illustrations that perfectly capture one silly trip through a day at school.
I really liked this book of poems. All of the poems are a lot of fun to read and the illustrations are really cute, colorful and eye-catching. The poems are about topics that all teachers, parents and school-aged children can relate to. I am in the process of getting my BS in Elementary Education and this is definitely a book that I want to read to my students and keep in my classroom library someday.
