A Revelation

Anyone remember when "dumb Polak" jokes were the rage back in the 60's and 70's? The demeaning stereotype took its toll on Polish Americans who either minimized their beleaguered ethnicity or joined in with the joke tellers in order to "fit in." Ed Piszek would have none of it. The founder of Mrs. Pauls Kitchens, Piszek devoted his time and fortune in battling the widespread, bigoted, anti-Polish humor. This book is a must read for every Polish American who has either repeated a "dumb Polak" joke or who has been the object of bigoted "humor," an absolutely wonderful autobiography of a proud Polish American.
