Funny, romantic, passionate, what else can you ask for?

This book kept me up until 3 in the morning, I couldn't bear to tear myself away from it. It has humour, fantasy, romance, love and magic. Sinjin is a terrific male character! This one's on my keeper shelf.

A fun twist on the typical genie-in-the-bottle story

I love it when an author uses places in their story that you can actually visit. Watching the pirate battle at Treasure Island in Las Vegas last week, it really brought the story to life again (and it's been several months since I've read it!). I could picture Sinjin actually sword fighting right in front of me! (Tempted me to dive in myself!) The story is great and imaginative. True love is the the greatest magic there is.

A romantic way to spend a long winter night

I enjoyed Some Enchanted Evening by Alice Alfonsi. It is everything I look for in a romance..good characters, interesting dialogue, and of course lots of sexual tension and Romance. The added spark of a genie, displaced from his former life and now transported to our present day, made the story entertaining and imaginative. I could not put the book down and I was sorry to see it end. I recomend it to any fan of romance or to anyone who likes a rollicking good story.

A Magical Love Story!

This is truly an enchanting tale, with characters that make you laugh and sometimes sad. I had a lot of fun reading about Mary Jane Magorski, Sinjin Avery, and the evil Jinn, Asaf Simmoom, along with the other cast of characters. I will readily suggest this book to other potential readers.

An enchanting romance

Mary Jane Magorski works at the perfume counter of the Hastings Department Store in Deer Valley, a Pittsburgh suburb. On her twenty-fifth birthday, she already feels depressed when Irving Crick, a relative to the Hastings clan, harasses her to go out with him. She refuses his slimy advances, dumps perfume on him, and consequently loses her job. Mary Jane returns to her home only to be tossed out of her apartment. As she stays in a drab motel, she holds her one birthday present, a strange looking bottle. When two men attack her, she desperately wishes for help while still holding the bottle. Sinjin Avery appears out of nowhere and routs her two assailants. He struggles to convince Mary Jane that he is a genie, who was tricked by Asaf, an evil jinn, in 1713 to live the other's curse for eternity. As his conjuring gets them in trouble, they fall in love. However, their path to happiness requires them to deal with Asaf, who plans to use Sinjin to replace him in a one way ticket to hell. Readers who enjoy an adult fairy tale will devour SOME ENCHNATED EVENING, a Magical Love Romance. The story line feels genuine even with characters like a genie and a jinn because of the author's dexterous use of ironic detail. For instance, conjuring up cash is simple, withdraw it (illegally) from a bank. The lead protagonists are an unlikely duo, yet their growing love affair is beautifully written.
