Handsome, large book with glorious color reproductions

The gorgeous full color reproductions of famous pictures (and lesser known ones) drew me to this beautiful book. If you enjoy genre and narrative art, as well as Victorian art - you might enjoy this volume. One caveat - the text is rather dry - it might appeal more to an art scholar -- but to me the pictures more than made up for the text.
