The practice of giving something up for Lent can easily become an empty and self-serving ritual. In his book, "Solidarity: Living Beyond Sacrifice," Pastor Tyler Kaufmann invites Christians to go beyond the motions of Lenten rituals in order to meet Jesus in new ways through contemplation and practices of solidarity.
