Fortunately, Cordelia can periodically escape all the shenanigans because of an extraordinary extra-sensory ability she calls psychomatricks which permits her to witness episodes in a person's life by holding a piece of their property - very useful when applied to her collection of shoes once owned by luminaries of history. When she discovers the enigmatic Elodie has the ability too they miraculously enter historic realms for adventures galore.
This is a funny feel good book with a strong female protagonist set in contemporary London, USA, and Europe in a story about a glamorous family, friendship, jollity and a sprinkling of magic leading to a happy ending.
