Very beautifully written, but as a Christian, I found it hard to enjoy fully

Both as a Christian and a historical scholar, I think, taking a religious figure and a historical figure and putting upon them your own personal beliefs and ideas I think comes at both poor taste and blasphemy To take a figure that is incredibly important to the faith of Christians and to speak from Christ narrative and make claims of things that are blatantly false. The things I enjoyed about those books were some of the ideas that allowed me to ruminate on Christ as man. And the story is beautifully done. I just wish it wasn’t at the cost of Jesus’s name.
