Grief can be more than losing a loved one. Grief reflects a painful change. You may grieve yourself; what you could have been; what you once wished would come to be. You may also grieve the parts of yourself you have purposefully cut away: it is no longer tainting you, but you still miss it. Grief is an entire rainbow that softens our bones and changes us for better or for worse.
This collection of poems follows that rainbow. It begins at sadness and struggle, curves into anger and a need for change, and delves into the process of grief. Then comes healing. Some of these poems may reference self harm, suicide, and light gore themes. Book includes a trigger warning. Some strong language is occasionally used as well. Reader discretion is advised.Related Subjects
