My name is Astharte Athena De Los Santos. I have been writing for over 10 years. I started to blog on Wordpress and currently have two blogs opentalkwithgod.wordpress.com and withthestrokeofapen.wordpress.com. I am the winner of the Nicholas Pekearo Writing Endowment Award 14' for my collection of poetry.I have a Bachelor of Science with a concentration on diversity from SUNY Empire State College. I am currently earning my Masters of Liberal Studies from Arizona State University which I complete in December 20'. I am a mental health client learning how to cope with Bipolar Disorder 2 after having been diagnosed in 2010. I have also worked in the mental health field as a case manager, behavior assistant, and content marketing. This book is a collection of articles on Mental Health and Substance Abuse that I wrote for Ocean Breeze Recovery in Pompano, FL for their website in 2006. I enjoy writing from my experiences and perspective supported by research that will allow the readers to educate themselves on how to cope with their own struggles. I relate my stories so readers can understand that we all deal with things that may become obstacles but we must work harder every day to want more out of life.
