Are all these depressing thoughts really mine? I wonder if the best way to get back at all those people who hurt me, is to outlast them? It would sure frustrate them, wouldn't it? Sometimes the greatest blessings in life are behind the doors of fear, and great depression. I wonder what is behind door number 2? What would Bugs Bunny do? What just changed? What else is changing? What else is about to change? What would like to change? How could I have fun, in this situation? What healing beauty is already present, here, that I haven't yet noticed? The author entered the pit, of deep depression, and climbed out, slowly, as surely as Dante climbed the Purgatorio. The author learned a lot from the journey, and shares what he learned, here. This is not some kind of medical book, this is a travel book. It was written by someone who traveled through deep depression, and came out the other side. The title says it all. The Japanese word "sensei", often used to refer to a martial arts master, means "born before", with the implication that the Sensei is a little further down the path. In that sense, the author is a little further down a path.
