A mothers story. I wrote this book in order to help all those parents who have loved their children, nurtured them, coped with their moods, and dealt with the millions of problems which occur naturally every week of normal family life, all the while trying not to let their own hopes and desires for its future overshadow the child's own inclinations, only to find those hopes dashed, and those dreams cast aside forever, and even their own love of the child questioned, when the child says "Mum, Dad, I'm Gay! I faced this trauma a few years ago, and I am now hoping this book can help other parents come through the experience, from the instant grieving and angry phase, through the confusion, to the final acceptance, no matter how long it takes. I have met other parents who came to terms with it in a few months; I took three years. Some people never get it in perspective.
