The idea for this book was generated by the suggestion, by famed investor Warren Buffet, that millionaires were not taxed enough and the Obama administration ran with the idea and has proposed increasing taxes on millionaires. Warren Buffet is one of Americas wealthiest people. His investment prowess is legendary, and through his company, Berkshire Hathaway, he orchestrates financial deals extremely beneficial to his company, which no other investor could possibly attain, simply because of the size of his investment and the amount of capital involved. Mr. Buffet, who gives away enormous amounts of his wealth to charity, a good part of it sent out of the country, says millionaires should be taxed more. He contends that his secretary pays a larger percentage of his/her income in taxes than he does. He does not explain however, that the secretarys income is wages while his is dividends and capital gains, which are taxed at a lesser rate because they are returns from investments in companies enabling them to create thousands of jobs in the general market, which without his investment dollars would not be possible. Since it is recognized that everyone desires to pay more taxes, the intent of this book is to provide the reader with the knowledge of investing in common stocks, bonds, mutual funds, master limited partnerships, ETFs, REITs, business development companies etc., effects of taxation on investments and general knowledge of the art of investing; which, if properly utilized, should qualify him or her to be TAXED LIKE A MILLIONAIRE.
