Theme: A mixed memoir of life-chapter excerpts defining a diverse and imaginative lifestyle without forethought, and, indeed, more akin to coincidence with no regrets along the way. Thus, an apt title for this latest published manuscript.
Abstract (from the Foreword to the manuscript): I may not know where I'm going in life but know where I've been. Ergo, a common certainty vs. the great unknown all entities are confronted with given one's existence. For some, their life experience entails learning how the most important aspect in the process demands a focus on the now-present. That said, this latest focused publication, SO FAR, ALL RIGHT TURNS, suffice as both a title AND pragmatic metaphor. My introduction to the reader also reminds me of the good, bad, and ugly aspects that define most people's life. Then again, and despite the rough and random milepost stretches along the way, the ever-changing direction of my life's narrative has always worked out. Thankfully, I might add.
Given this latest publication added to my literary legacy, its mixed repertoire of topic samples captures some of my outstanding highlights over the past fifty years. Therefore, highlights are based on numerous experiences, employment, escapades, and sundry advocations. Notably, a published endowment in the guise of a recurrent memoir whose current compilation of selected chapters in this volume is among my favorites. I also want to mention how over the past eight or so years, buyers who procured some of my books wrote and sent me their respective critiques. In short, the good, bad, and not-so-beautiful kind of remarks all authors should read and consider, just because. Kindly also note how all of the chapter material herein represents variable topics that are not posted in chronological order (i.e., the date each book was published). Instead, the order and selected chapters amount to a last-minute toss-up. In other words, the finalized index was random, and not purposeful. As to why I chose the capricious topics and chapters for this text, I suppose all of the selections serve as a cursory reminder (to me) of how my wondering and wandering through the years manifested an equally purposeful vagamundo's penchant. Thus, changing careers defined this, that, and everything I wanted to experience.
With this somewhat enigmatic introduction, and looking back on my sojourn and busy bee chronicle, it's true: So far, and along the way, I've made all the right turns. The opening words of this publication also attest to my admitted singular lifestyle. In other words, a mixed variety of books and themes predicated on who and what I was in the past. Suffice it to say how the phrase-Mi Vida Loca-ideally suits me as an overall character description: "My crazy life!" Then again, sometimes 'crazy' can be good, perhaps even a bit over-the-top. I also believe in living life to the fullest, learning and unlearning, and having fun along with adventures suits my nature to the proverbial T.
