After an awkward Thanksgiving, Kimberly Phillips is looking forward to a peaceful Christmas. Her grandparents rented a big cabin in the mountains, and they're all excited to spend the holidays together. Kim is overwhelmed with nursing school, work, and a difficult past that no one knew about. Her relationship with her boss was different, and she didn't know what to do to get back to normal. She can feel the anxiety building and decides she can't take another awkward holiday, so she asks him to leave. Brian agrees to leave, but the snowstorm he drove in to get there turns into a blizzard that leaves them all snowed in for Christmas. Kim wonders what it will take to let her guard down around him. Would she ever allow herself to love Brian as much as her family does? And why does she get butterflies every time he is around?
