This book should be read by every activist in the country. It will give you insight into how informants work and also the psychology of why informants do what they do. Every freedom lover out there should know whats going on illegally and in secrecy behind their backs.

Will Open Your Eyes

Wow! This book is not only frightening...it is true! Paranoid? How can you not be? This book provides many glowing examples of how our own government is using technology against us. This book has even more significance in a post-9/11/TIPS world. From getting in your car, to driving to work, to entering the building, to using your computer for work, to grabbing lunch and swiping your debit card...your are constantly under one form of surveillance or another. Frightened yet?

Must Reading

Jim Redden is a great reporter, and we are lucky to have his talents here in Portland, OR. This book is a must read for everybody in the U.S., especially those with privacy issues. Let's hope he writes another one!

People who support the use of informants, even after 9-11, are wannabee nazis who are willing to create the kind of country that germany was in the late 1930's.the us government did not protect us against bin laden, but it does jail and kill people who are hiding in their houses smoking and growing medicinal plants.anybody who supports the use of snitches and narks should go live in a totalitarian country.this book tells the truth about America, and you can bet that bush, ashcroft and others will now try to use 9-11 to create a police state in what was supposed to be the land of the free.me, I'm emigrating to a more free country.god help those of you who stay in Amerika! Great Book!

Snitch Culture is a page turner. Maybe the best book I've read this year. Brilliantly researched and well documented, Jim Redden digs deep into the way law enforcement works, and uncovers new insights into the way our society is changing right under our noses. Frightening and thought provoking, Snitch Culture is a must read for anyone interested in issues of corruption, privacy, and criminal justice.
