The Second Book in my Old West Series 'Cactus' Novels, "Snake's End, ' has Texas Ranger Cal Johnston chasing one of his greatest adversaries, Henry Hobson, 'Snake' Snake is one of the most intelligent and dangerous Rogues and Road Agents in the West. Another sticky one-horse short situation
Cal's experiences as a Texas Ranger and the cruelty of his adversaries, those such as Snake, have sometimes strained Cal's logic and good sense to the point of forcing the most vile among the men he has captured to endure the cruelty they forced upon their victims. Many times in the most humorous of ways Cal, being Cal, just can't help himself and manages to massively self-destruct Katherine's and his wedding day. It's doubtful that Cal will ever live this day down with Katherine or the whole community of Cactus. Once again, Cal pushes his Texas Ranger Captain, Charles Hendrickson, even further downhill on his way to La-La-Land.The bad guys know Cal well and fear him. At times, judges would rather hang Cal more so than his captives. Even the Apache and Cheyenne can't quite decide whether to try to kill Cal or to run as fast as they can to somewhere, anywhere ... to avoid Cal
It's a fun and exciting read with lots of humor, again twisting the Old West themes into a pretzel. I hope you enjoy reading Snake's End
