Smoothies & Smoothie Popsicles For Toddlers and Kids

By Allison Belt and Leslie A Osborne

This is a book dedicated to the idea that it's possible to feed a child healthy, whole foods that they actually crave. In a moment of curiosity and a bit of exhaustion, I let my ten month old son try some of the smoothie I had made for myself. It was full of the kinds of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that we all hope our kids will eat. But it was also green and full of kale and flax seeds and coconut oil, which can be a hard sell with a baby or a toddler. But, wonder of wonders, he slurped it up and asked for more! And he's been asking for more ever since! In that moment I knew I wanted to create smoothie recipes for families that struggle to feed themselves and their little ones REAL food. And so Smoothies and Smoothie Popsicles for Toddlers and Kids was born! I've worked to bring you fourteen recipes that are not only nutritious, delicious, and quick, but that are also beautiful and appealing to the most discriminating toddler. Inside you'll find: ? Fourteen recipes made from ingredients that you can get at your local grocer ? Popsicle variations for the recipes ? Detailed instructions and ingredient substitutions ? Beautiful pictures of each of the smoothies, along with instructions on how to make yours appealing to your tasting audience ? A rundown of the most used ingredients and how to get the most nutrition and best quality out of them ? A list of our favorite pieces of equipment So here you go, friends. Enjoy and bon appetite, y'all!
