Set in the medieval period, the town's new adults sought love, everything else was secondary. Shortly after entering adulthood a young fisherman, Fulk, found himself a sweetheart. They were set to become lovers, both keen to move their passion forward. One thing always got in the way, their faith. Both attended church regularly and the teachings from the priest warned against sins outside of wedlock.
With the young man's attention turned towards owning a hawk, his best friend took advantage, the sweetheart was for the taking.
If Fulk and Mabel had love for each other, they needed to find a way to express their feelings and quickly. Rejection held back the young fisherman; his desires often kept to himself. His mind was unable to tell if it was love or lust, the offers that came his way would prove if he was true to his first sweetheart.
Obtaining work at the local manor not only provided extra coinage for the young peasant but slowly revealed sinister activities. As forbidden words left the lips of those who could not speak, the love and passion the young man had found was cloaked in mystery. It was doubtful even the priest could help him this time.
