This book contains instructions for 12 quilts & if you love to applique you will love the majority of them. I am not an appliquer but there are three quilts I love so much that I'm going to give it a try. First up is "Animal Crackers." 19x25. There are bears, birds, ducks, geese, rabbits & dogs drawn from a collection of old cookie cutters. Then "Christmas Cookies" which has a lot of country charm with its cookie cutter-like trees, angels, bells, etc. "Roses of Lancaster" which is featured center on cover, and one which I hope to do. Then a flying geese quilt "Autumn Flight" with a border of colorful leaves. "Irish Rose" using Irish Chain & the Rose of Sharon - another I want to do quilt. You will love the charming "Sunbonnet Friends" featuring both Sunbonnet Sue & Overall Sam. "School Days" with tiny appliqued apples and pieced schoolhouse blocks - I love it & plan to make it for one of my sisters who teaches. Two "Trellis Garden" quilts - one with hexagon flowers; the other with simple flower applique. And last but not least "Bountiful Harvest" a bowl of fruits. A purchase you won't regret making.
