Great Variety of Toys

This book is one of my favorite. Most of the toys are easy to make, imaginative and delightful. The most difficult part is deciding which to make next.There is a large variety of toys using different material, including bread dough, clothes pins, and other not so cuddly (but fun and great) ideas. I rated the book 4 stars only because the title is a bit misleading. All the toys are not cuddly.The author's directions are very clear and well illustrated, the photos of the finished product are good (and helpful in deciding what to make next) She gives a complete discription of what materials will be needed and has a one page introduction of general instructions. Two of my favorites for small children are the "playful ponies" and the "humpty dumpty game. (It really is a fun game).The rosette toys did not hold up well for my children. If you make them, use strong thread and emphasize strong stitching.All in all, beginner's will find this book perfect to start toymaking, and advanced toymakers will find some unique ideas.
