This is the 347th Episode in the longest running Western series in America today.It has entertained readers since 1974.It is published by Jove who also publish the Longarm series;also long running since October 1978. This is an excellent episode and filled with lots of good Old West action and characters. John Slocum wanders the West, and adventure, and the need for justice always seems to be waiting for him wherever he roams.He is not a Lawman per say;but is well able to challenge any situation and ensure justice is carried out---one way or another. In this saga ,we find Slocum,down to his last dollar and agreeing to help 4 ladies,who have tired of their multiple Mormon marriages,and offer themsselves as "Mail-Order Brides". Slocum contracts to assist them in getting away and meeting up with their future husbands. The story is very engrossing,filled with lots of action,shootouts,adventure and well developed ,interesting characters ;who lay one road block after another in front of him,in efforts to prevent Slocum from completing his mission. A great read, that you'll find hard to put down,once you get started.
