Sleepy Grandpa: A short-length play for screen

An age old question takes on new dimensions in this post-pandemic-lockdown time: how close to our loved ones should we be?

Sleepy Grandpa resides, and seems too much to hide like a hermit, in the attic above where his family lives. They want him into another life. More for his own enjoyment. And possibly some of theirs. But, he won't move into the old actors' home even though he's an old character actor himself. Too many "characters" there. He'll visit. But he won't stay.

Since his wife's death many years ago, that's pretty much been his way. Always the visitor, sometimes there. Never quite always there.

Seeming a bit unsettled mentally, and too settled in his attic hide-away, especially to the young grand-daughter he cherishes, his family conspires to get him out. Some. And settled down. More.

As if that could be accomplished!
Challenging, because the conspiracy theories of all the members of this family are for, not against each other.
