I adore this book! My heart bust when I saw it was finally printed for the masses!

I was fortunate enough to have had my own antique hardback copy, (picture plates, etc) in pristine condition, published prior to 1900s. I regretfully left it behind in Bloomington Indiana when I had to move back to California. Fleight weight requirements and lack of funds to ship it to myself so I painfully gifted it away. Now I can't even find one hardback copy, but to my surprise it's now being printed for the masses! I have desperatly been wanting to read it again! Charlie's story needs to be read! I am a sibling of 3 sisters, the second born, so of course I adore the characters and find them very familiar, as well as the dynamics of sister relationships. It's so timeless. A true classic. I love the storyline, Charlie leaving the nest and finding herself having to make alternative life choices that, to others were fround upon, quickly judged, dismissed, bordering on taboo, that, to me, makes this story truly one that was ahead of it's time.
