Skylar: the Kinetic Energy

This is a children's bedtime story/picture book. The main title is the adventure stories of my dog, Skylar, a super Rat Terrier.

Skylar was always the fastest dog at the local park, a blur of black, white, and tan. Her life changed during the "Great Ion Storm of 2025." While chasing a stray tennis ball near Dr. Aris's experimental Atmospheric Harmonic Array, a rogue bolt of violet lightning didn't hit the ground-it was drawn directly to Skylar's high-energy vibrations.

The strike didn't hurt her; it synchronized with her heartbeat. Now, Skylar is no longer just a terrier; she is a living conductor of the Electromagnetic Spectrum.

Skylar now operates under the secret identity: The Kinetic Streak.

She still loves a good lap to curl up in, but when her ears perk up, it's usually because she's sensing a disturbance in the universe.

With her super-pal, Lon-el, an alien from a faraway planet, they are always on the alert when the planet or people need help.

​​​​​​​The second included book is an educational story about a fictional character named Elon, the Beast of the Forest. Elon learns about forest fires and how to stop them.
