Out of the depths of his own heart, Phillip Keller shares with the reader meaningful interludes illustrated with beautiful line drawings. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I love this book for two reasons. His meditations on the spiritual life are spot on and very useful guides. But Keller's writing also has the flavor of natural history writing from an earlier era (e.g., Donald Culross Peattie, Sigurd Olson come to mind). The combination of the two makes for a book to be sipped, savored, and cherished!
One of his best.

This book gave me such a longing for the water. Not just the ocean but any lake I find now in awe!. The more of his books I read, the more I see God in the outdoors. However, the city gets more and more repulsive to me. Even food, I find that food from God is really the only way to eat. I think Mr. Kellers books are changing me into a whole person learning to walk with God and everything he has created. I recommmend this book to everyone. No one should go on a cruise without first reading this book. The wind, the rain, the snow, all of it that comes from the sky, I see differently now.
Another good book

I read this book too fast. I plan on reading it again. Phillip brings yours eyes to the sky where only God can change things. Read it slow and savor everything he says. I'm sure I will give it a 5 star once I take the time to inhale everything he is saying. All his books are wonderful.
