The Skipper's boat is very good for the new boater. It is now owned and printed by BoatsUS at 1-800-336-2628. Check with your State to make sure it is still accepted for certification and meeting the new State Laws. In Nevada we invite home completed course takers to come to our one day BSC class and get some hands-on experience. Skipper's Safe Boating Course

This is a very comprehensive guide that provides basic information about safe boating. It includes topics such as understanding the Lateral Waterway System and how to read buoys, day markers and flags. It talks about hypothermia, safe fueling and on and on.
