Funny as all get out!

I absolutely LOVED this book! It was funny, smart and well worth the time it took to read. I loved it so much that I bought a second copy after I gave the first copy away to a thick-gurl friend of mine. Mo'Nique's unapologetic about her size, and it's about time someone celebrated big girls. Skinny evil women (and I'm talking about the mean ones who can't see past a few extra pounds or a few larger dress sizes) DO NOT have the market cornered on beauty, and it's time someone called their judgemental, superficial, sharp-tongued, evil behinds out. The moral to this story: If you decide to hit an overweight person with a mean, cruel, biting insult (which A LOT of people do on a daily basis), don't be surprised or shocked when you're hit back. I loved this book so much that I keep it with me in my briefcase when I need a quick laugh. Mo'Nique, I look forward to more F.A.T. beauty pageants and your upcoming cookbook. You go, Mo'Nique!!

Mo' Nique Is The Truth!!!

My cousin and I love to read so we decided to purchased "Skinny Women Are Evil". It was very funny. I don't think Mo'Nique intended to hurt anyone feelings but something had to be said. A lot of people found her book offensive that's because they are narrow minded. For years everyone made fun of heavy people and it was excepted. All of the magazines (Cosmo, Glamour, Elle, etc.) potrayed big women ass geedy and lazy. Hell, the just started reconizing Black women as beautiful. Back in the day damn near all black women was seen as fat because of their curves. Black women was viewed as circus freaks because of their naturally big butts and breast. They were actually shackled together and paraded up and down the street because of their figures. Mo'Nique was absolutely right when she said skinny women sees fat women as inferior because they do. They don't think their man will sleep with a fat women but it happens all the time. Like Usher said "if you got it you got it"! America needs to remember: Sexy is isn't fat and sexy isn't skinny. It's the way you carry yourself!

Monique did it again

This book was so good it makes you laugh, think about the issuse Monique dicuss, and then read it all over again. My only problem with this book is I couldn't put it down, and it just wasn't long enough. But Monique did her thing.

love u monique

I don't care what anyone says, Mo'Nique is brillant. She is a wonderful person and cares about others. I too am a plus size person, with low self esteem but thanks to her, I feel better about me. I learned not to care what anyone else thinks as long as I think highly of myself, nothing else matters. All those who have something negative to say, thats ok, because I know that it's jealosy making you act that way. Don't hate on Mo because she feels good about herself. Mo if you read this, I just want you to know that you are my idol and I wouldn't care if you wrote a book in chinese.. it would still be funny!! Be encouraged and keep doing what you're doing, you have my support!! go girl..

Fabulous, Thick and Funny

This book was hilarious. I never laughed so hard and cheered so loudly in my life. As a F.A.T girl full of confidence and loving myself, I could definitely relate to what she was saying. I never really thought of the Skinny Ones as Evil, but once she broke it down for me, I'm better able to relate. This book is highly recommended and I will be encouraging others to run...uhh...walk or drive out and get it. Kudos to Mo'Nique for keeping it real and telling us just like it is.
