Monique knows how to get it done in the kitchen! Some traditional recipes, but also so new, different ideas that I'd never thought of!

Love this cookbook

I too saw this book on Vh1 and couldn't resist. The recipes are so delicious and most are easy to make and not to complicated. The portion sizes are big but I cook for a large family so they are perfect!

A fun, whimsical set of recipes

Mo'Nique maintains that being a large woman is a joy, so "Skinny Cooks Can't Be Trusted" turns out to be a predictable celebration of what foods make the large woman large. This is an easy to follow cook book. You won't run into any of the complex issues you do with a lot of cook books out there. Patti Labelle has a wonderful cook book but Monique is giving Ms. Patti some competition. I love the recipes with foods i'm familiar with. I will be trying a lot of them.There are no secret ingredients you have to go to another country to get everything is made with everyday seasonings and items you could find at your local grocer. i love the stories they cracked me up and made me reflect on my own family. keep em coming MONIQUE!!
